Freddy & Isabel
We have been meeting back in Cot again for about 8 months now in the house of Freddie and Isabel. With in the first three months, Freddie came to know the Lord as his Savior. He tells stories of how he used to beat people up physically and how he used to get drunk. Now he has completely changed. His boss and co-workers in agricultural work have all noticed the changes in him.
After Freddie's conversion, he invited a Nicaraguan friend named Enoch to the Bible study. After a time of attending the Bible study and studying with the group, he too came to know the Lord as his Savior. He has continued to be faithful and has grown in the Lord. Recently Freddie and Enoch invited another young Nicaraguan by the name of Paul. Paul has been attending the Bible studies at Freddy's house for some time. At the end of a recent Bible study, Isabel asked Paul if he would like to accept Jesus as His Lord and only Savior. Paul was so excited and quickly said yes! I had noticed that during the Bible studies that Paul’s comments and thoughts on idol worship and other areas were in complete agreement with the Bible. So I asked Isabel if she wanted to lead him to Christ and she said excitedly, “Si! Si!” She did a great job guiding him in prayer to salvation. (hopefully soon I will be able to post photos of Paul and Enoch)
It is so exciting to see Ticos stepping up to lead their own friends and neighbors to Christ. Thank you for helping send us to teach these beautiful people about our Lord and Savior. And also for giving us the time to disciple them in a way that is teaching them to reach their world for Christ. God is good.
Romans 10:14-15
14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
